The Last day of National Human Trafficking Awareness Month

It's the last day but what about tomorrow?
It may be the official last day, but honestly we feel that it should never end.
With that said, tomorrow is a new day to continue our efforts.
Tomorrow is a new day for hope, a new day for healing, a new day for continued awareness, especially with the upcoming 2019 "Super Bowl LIII" on the horizon. Now to be clear, we aren't stating that the annual Super Bowl is the pinnacle of the human trafficking epidemic here in the U.S. but we are stating that like all major sporting events it is extremely prevalent during this time period. On that note, we'd like to share a harrowing personal story of survival, hope, and healing with you. When we read it we felt every emotion possible.
We can't stress enough how important awareness is concerning the subject of human trafficking and the above story shines a bold light on how much education still needs to take place, especially on Native American reservations. This brave young indigenous woman's truth is crushing yet inspiring at the same time. We pray for continued healing for her and for everyone that has ever had to experience this trauma. Her indigenous ways of healing including story telling along with her advocacy for others will continue to set her free.
